Privacy Policy for Before/After Image Slider Pro App

1) Who we are

​

Noel Dario Andres – Digital Solutions (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides the Before/After Image Slider app for Shopify (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when merchants install or use the App in their Shopify store and when they contact us for support.

2) Scope

​

This policy applies to:

  • Store owners and staff who install or manage the App in a Shopify store.

  • Data the App processes via Shopify APIs to provide its features.

It does not apply to other third-party services you connect to your store or to your own customers’ use of your storefront outside the App’s functionality.

3) Information we collect and why

​

We access only the minimum data needed to run the App.

​

A) From Shopify (via Shopify APIs)

  • Store identifiers: shop domain, shop ID.

  • Store owner/staff contact: name and email (for admin/account and support).

  • Operational store data: theme info to add the App section, App installation status, and App subscription/billing status (to enable or restrict features).

  • App settings & media you choose to use: the images you upload to the App block and the options you configure.

  • Metafield gate: We set a boolean metafield (bna.is_paid) on your shop to control whether the storefront block should render while your plan is active.

B) From you directly

  • Support messages and attachments you send us.

  • Preference data you set inside the App.

​

C) Automatically

  • Basic technical logs (timestamps, IP of server-to-server requests, error logs) for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. We do not track you across sites or build profiles.

We do not intentionally collect your customers’ personal data. The storefront block displays your images and settings; it does not require access to customer profiles, orders, or payment details.

4) How we use information

  • To install, authenticate, and operate the App with your Shopify store.

  • To render the App section (block) in your theme and save/restore your settings.

  • To verify and manage your subscription through Shopify billing.

  • To provide support, fix issues, and improve reliability and security.

  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5) Legal bases (EEA/UK)

​

Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

​

  • Performance of a contract (providing the App you installed).

  • Legitimate interests (security, debugging, preventing abuse, improving the App).

  • Compliance with legal obligations.
    If we ever rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

6) Sharing and disclosure

​

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:

​

  • Shopify, as needed to operate the App and manage billing.

  • Service providers under contract who help us host and operate the App (e.g., Render for hosting and managed PostgreSQL, email/support tools, logging). These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.

  • Authorities where required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
    If we are involved in a merger or acquisition, data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

7) International transfers

​

We may process and store data in Germany, the EU, and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers.

8) Security

​

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege principles, regular updates). No method is 100% secure, but we continually improve our safeguards.

9) Data retention

​

  • App configuration, media references, and shop metadata are retained while the App is installed.

  • When you uninstall, we stop accessing your store and delete or anonymize App-level data within 60 days, unless we must keep specific records for legal/accounting/security reasons.

  • Support emails and essential audit logs may be retained for up to 12 months for fraud prevention and legal obligations.

10) Your rights

​

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information and to object to or restrict certain processing. Shopify is the controller of most store and customer data; you can exercise rights via your Shopify Admin. CCPA/CPRA (California): we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by those laws.

​

11) Children

​

The App is for business use and not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

12) Cookies and tracking

​

The App’s admin interface uses only essential cookies or equivalent storage required for authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking via the App.

13) Changes to this policy

​

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new Effective date. Where appropriate, we will provide additional notice (e.g., in-app).
